Prayer
We would appreciate your prayers for the work of church planting and strengthening in Wales.
You can download a copy of these prayer points for use in a church service or prayer meeting.
Please pray for these places and initiatives:
1. Pray that people may become Christians and be joined to an effective vibrant church especially in Brynamman / GCG, Conwy, New Quay, Llanerchymedd, Newcastle Emlyn / Llandysul, Porthmadog, Pyle, Harlech, Talgarth and Whitland / St Clears.
2. Pray for evangelical vicars within the Church in Wales who are moving, or have recently moved, into needy areas:
Martin Snellgrove - Corwen
David Brownridge - Blaenau Ffestiniog
Peter Jones - Borth and Talybont
Matthew Baynham - New Quay
Richard Wood - Aberporth
John Bennett - Cardigan.

3. Pray for a number of networks and denominations who are seeking to arrange an ‘All-Wales’ strategy. In the past some Baptist, Elim, Assemblies of God and other churches have been overseen by and linked to networks in England rather than with other churches of their group in Wales. Pray for wisdom and a new sense of shared vision and strategy that will mean that isolated churches, especially in the North, are better resourced and encouraged.
4. There are plans being made for church plants in a number of the South Wales Valleys. Pray for the right people, approach, resources and outcomes.
5. The Where on Earth is Wales? course on understanding the various contexts in Wales has been run in six centres so far. Pray for good outcomes and widening influence.
6. Pray for Gobaith Môn, a new work which aims to bring the Hope of Jesus into the lives of young people on Anglesey who have had little or no experience of Christ. They are looking to appoint from September an enthusiastic, committed Christian to spearhead the development of this vision, supported by churches and chapels and working through the schools into the community on the island. EMW Prayer Meetings for Christian Leaders - REVIVE, 'O Lord, do it again...'
Leaders from across South Wales are encouraged to gather to pray for a fuller work of the Spirit in Wales. The meetings are held at Bethlehem Evangelical Church, Ysuthan Road, Sandfields, Aberavon, Port Talbot, SA12 6NE from 9.30am – 12.30pm, with coffee at 10.45 on Thursdays: April 18th, June 6th, September 12th, and November 7th.
